Position Summary:
The Statewide Coordinator (SC) for the Idaho Project for Children and Youth with Deaf-Blindness (ICYDB) will provide face-to-face, online, and virtual training and technical assistance (TA) to families, service providers, and agency personnel to improve services and outcomes for children with deaf-blindness.
This position will work alongside the Associate Director of the Center on Disabilities and Human Development to implement the Idaho Project for Children and Youth with Deaf-Blindness Grant (IPCYD) goals and objectives. The ICYDB will partner with national and statewide disability agencies and programs to collaborate on federal and state disability activities, statutes, and policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts in Education or related degree
- Working with students with low-incidence disabilities
- Writing IEPs or IFSPs
- Working with students with low vision or blindness
- Working with students who are hard of hearing or deafness
Preferred Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Masters Degree in Education or related degree
EXPERIENCE: Eight years of experience in public education:
- Working with students with deafblindness;
- Collaborating with outside agencies or groups;
- Providing professional development or training;
- Providing technical assistance to families who have children with disabilities.
